SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 25 – William Koch sued
the Federal Bureau Of
Investigation for compliance
with the Freedom of
Information Act.
On July 22,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Jed S. Rakoff held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The FOIA
request "relates to Bill
Koch's decades long efforts to
uncover and expose rampant
fraud in the international
market for rare wines."
In 2005, Koch
discovered four bottles he'd
bought were counterfeit.
Bradley Goldstein "has
overseen Bill Koch's wine
investigations since 2006."
(Nice work if you can get
it).
Judge
Rakoff ruled that by June 25
the FBI must propose a
discovery schedule; Koch's
filing is due the next day,
with each side able to reply
on July 27.
The case is Koch
et al v. Federal Bureau Of
Investigation, 22-cv-4421
(Rakoff)
