SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 7 – Aparna Kumar, an
Indian woman, worked without
incident for 12 years for
Opera Solutions LLC, engaged
machine learning and
artificial intelligence.
Then, she said,
Whiteoak Financial bought the
company and installed a white
CEO, Edward Scott. She was
discriminated against, and
sued.
On
December 7, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Discussion
included Kumar's request to
amend her complaint, and also
a possible motion to dismiss.
The case is
Kumar v. ElectrifAi, LLC et
al., 20-cv-6824 (Woods)
