SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 17 – Charles Evans is
charged with being a felon in
possession of a firearm, to
wit, a .9 millimeter Taurus
semi-automatic
pistol.
On March
17, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Paul A. Crotty held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Crotty said
motions are due by May 3.
And a trial is
set for June 7. Before that, a
bail hearing is set for March
30.
Evans is still in
the Essex Correctional
Facility in New Jersey; his
lawyer said he find the
conditions there better than
at the MCC and presumably MDC
in New York.
The case is US v.
Evans, 20-cr-380
(Crotty)
