SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 22 – Manuel Gervacio
Angeles worked as a cook in
180 Express Deli at 906 East
180th Street in The Bronx. But
he was not paid overtime. He
sued.
On
September 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Mary Kay Vyskocil held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Vyskocil
expressed skepticism why the
parties needed four months for
discovery.
She also asked if
and why they would need
experts.
She asked
to be told of the status - not
content - of settlement
discussions by November 24,
and set a status conference
for January 25, 2021.
The case is
Gervacio Angeles et al v. 180
Express Deli Corp. et al.,
19-cv-8809 (Vyskocil)
