SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 2 – Charming Beats sued
Hypebeast, Inc. for copyright
infringement on the song
"Anything You Synthesize," the
rights to which it owns.
On July 27,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Jed S. Rakoff
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Rakoff pushed the case toward
trial. He set a motion
schedule, and said discovery
should end by October 14. A
final pre-trial conference is
set for December 9, and the
trial for December 12.
The case is
Charming Beats LLC v.
Hypebeast, Inc. et al.,
21-cv-7189 (Rakoff)
