SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 10 – Congelados Del Ciboa
sued 3 Kids Corporation and
Domenick Chiappone, in a
dispute over lobster tails
from the Dominican Republic.
Now it wants to see
Chiappone's bank
records.
On September 10 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Plaintiff's lawyer explained
that even if the bank account
was Chiappone's personal
spending, it would show his
state of mind.
Judge Liman asked
many questions but ultimately
disagreed, denying both sides'
motions for discovery. The
trial is set for March 2022.
The case is
Congelados del Cibao v. 3 Kids
Corporation et al., 19-cv-7596
(Liman)
