SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 21 – Graciela Doncouse, a
paraplegic, sued Cooper's
Craft & Cocktails of 87
Second Avenue under the ADA
for being inaccessible.
On
September 13, 2022, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Polk Failla
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
complaint alleged a lack of an
accessible entrance at street
level, due to a step.
Judge
Failla listened and then said
depositions of fact witnesses
are to be finished by November
10, with a pre-trial
conference set for January 25,
2023.
The case is
Doncouse v. Trim Castle Corp.
et al, 22-cv-5354 (Failla)
