SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 23 – Edwin Zayas, who
uses a wheelchair, sued 9th
Avenue Tobacco and Smoke Shop
under the Americans with
Disabilities Act.
On August
17, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Edgardo Ramos
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Ramos ruled that any
additional party must be
joined by September 16,
amended pleading are due
October 24 and non-expert
depositions must end by
December 30.
There is an
additional conference on April
19, 2023.
The case is Zayas
v. 233 Ninth Corp et al.,
21-cv-10170 (Ramos)
