SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 11 – SourceCode
Communications LLC sued
PurpleAir for $76,000.
On August
9, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Jed S. Rakoff
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Rakoff
noted that, in violation of
his individual rules, the
parties had been sending
emails to his chambers about
discovery disputes.
He asked
why there should not be
sanctions. Counsel responded
defensively and at length, and
avoided sanctions.
But still they
declined to answer yes-or-no
questions with a yes or no.
Finally, Magistrate Judge
Katharine H. Parker's model
ESI plan was adopted.
The case is
SourceCode Communications LLC
v. PurpleAir, Inc., 22-cv-4742
