SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 14 –
Luigi Abreu, a self-described
blind man, sued Mylec,
Inc. under the ADA for
having an inaccessible website
which barred him from buying
the street hockey gear for
sale on the site.
On September 14, 2022, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
proceeding, after a full day
presiding over the US v.
Trevor Milton securities fraud
trial. Inner City Press
covered both.
In this
website ADA case, a trend in
SDNY, the matter was pushed
along to a next status
conference March 15, 2023.
The case(s) in
EDNY finding that the ADA does
not apply to websites were not
discussed.
This case is
Abreu v. Mylec, Inc.,
22-cv-4253 (Ramos)
