SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 25 – Miguel Angel Romero
was an inmate in the MCC on
December 2, 2020 when the
middle finger on his left hand
was broken when Corrections
Officer Lopes closed or
permitted to close the heavy
main door of 11 North on his
hand.
He
sued for $1
million.
On December 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Woods
ruled that fact discovery must
be completed by April 22, with
a status conference set for
June 21.
