SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 28 – Shilin Liu and 58
other plaintiffs sued
Alejandro Mayorkas as
Secretary of the Department of
Homeland Security, for delay
on their I-829 petitions for
immigration status after each
invested $500,000 into the
Bryant Park
Project.
On October 28 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
It emerged
that 58 of the 59 cases are
moot - the individuals
received green cards.
The remainer
petitioner Fang Jia got a
Notice of Intent to Deny. Next
step is a NOID response.
The case is Liu,
et al v. Mayorkas et al.,
21-cv-3882
(Koeltl)
