SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 5 – Marco Antonio Enriquez
sued Hot and Fresh Bagels of
1585 Third Avenue for failure
to pay overtime and minimum
wages.
On October
5 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Enriquez'
lawyer said the case is
settling, for $24,000 - to be
paid $1000 a month for two
years, to 33% of that going to
attorneys fees.
Judge Liman said
it all complied with Cheeks v.
Freeport Pancake House, and
approved the settlement. He
told Enriquez,
Congratulations.
The case is
Enriquez v. Maximillion Cafe
Corporation et al., 20-cv-7052
(Liman)
