SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 4 – A hair salon on Canal
Street has been sued as
inaccessible under the
Americans with Disabilities
Act.
On January 4, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Woods
noted it was his second
attempt at an initial
pre-trial conference in the
case (Inner City Press covered
the first as well, though
didn't report it until now).
Counsel
apologized for not having
known where the land line was,
from where he called in last
time.
Discussion
turned not only to Chinatown
but to the Lower East Side.
Discovery was ordered stayed,
and the case referred to the
assigned Magistrate judge with
a status letter due in three
months.
The case is
Keung v. D G Hair Salon Inc.
et al., 21-cv-6703
(Woods)
