SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 26 – Brittany Kaplan
sued Entertainment Weekly and
Dotdash Meredith Corporation
alleging they covered up their
reason for firing editor JD
Heyman.
She says Heyman
among other things made jokes
about the Holocaust.
On August
22, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Magistrate Judge
Barbara C. Moses held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Kaplan's
complaint also says that
Heyman "referred to famous
musician Jewel as
'snaggletooth' and "made
'jokes' about eating
disorders." Judge
Moses set a settlement
conference for November 14.
The case is
Kaplan v. Dotdash Meredith
Corporation et al.,
21-cv-10950 (Carter /
Moses)
