In SDNY Mag Court Defendant Hart Indicted in PA Is Bailed On Condition Of No New Bank Accounts

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
Honduras - The Source - The Root - etc

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 4 – Edward John Hart was indicted in Pennsylvania and arrested and presented in New York for bank fraud, mail fraud, identity theft and stealing postal keys.

He was bailed by U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court by head Magistrate Gabriel Gorenstein for $75,000 with no new court date until Pennsylvania calls one, as long as he doesn't open any new bank accounts.

Whether this, and conditions of no loans or lines of credit without approval of the government, complies with the the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and its disparate impact standard is a question in which Inner City Press is inquiring, watch this site. This case is US v. Hart, 19-mj-10370 (Gorenstein).

Earlier on November 4, a man seemingly named Justin Harrigon was by contrast not granted release on bond.   He was arrested on Friday November 1 for public urination, after which a warrant for having .22 caliber gun while a felon came up. He was brought three days later before Judge Gorenstein.

There was a whispered sidebar with pre-trial services. The Assistant US Attorney said it was hoped the Pre Trial Services would "weigh in." But a lack of clarity about whether home incarceration would allow the defendant to take two of his three children to school resulted in him being remanded.

The Federal Defenders asked that he be "produced" tomorrow and the AUSA said she would put in the request. Watch this site.
