SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 17 – Micah Brown
sued Equifax for defaming him
with a mixed file containing
an Ally Financial account and
a Department of Education
account.
On January 14, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Plaintiff's counsel said
Equifax considers such
complaints just a cost of
doing business. There was talk
of a private mediator.
The Case
Management Plan says expert
discovery is due by June 30,
and motions for summary
judgment if any by August 1.
The case is Brown
v. Equifax Information
Services LLC, 21-cv-9257
(Woods)
