SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 5 – Back on March 3,
before the Coronavirus
pandemic hit New York full
force, Judge Richard M. Berman
of the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York held an in-person
proceeding in the case of US
v. Eric
Ulloa.
Assistant US
Attorney Daniel Nessim said
"There is a potential conflict
issue with Eric Ulloa's
counsel... Eric Ulloa has
attempted to proffer with the
government and provided
information. Ultimately we
thought that Mr. Ulloa was not
being totally truthful with
the government and we ceased
these proffers. However, some
of the information he provided
links with another
investigation of the
government's that has led to
criminal charges being
brought, and that defendant,
of which there is some
overlap, is represented by Mr.
Brackley" - and, apparently,
Lance Lazzaro.
On May 5,
in a telephone proceeding that
Inner City Press pressed to
cover, Lance Lazzaro did
appear and an agreement was
made for a Curcio hearing on
the conflict.
The case is US v.
Ulloa, 19-cr-707
(Berman).
