SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 13 – Abdoulaye Traore sued
for being forced to move from
"a resident where he lived for
39 years" to the Willow Avenue
Men's Shelter in The Bronx.
On August
13 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Andrew L. Carter held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The defense
had three separate lawyers,
for the State, City (a private
law firm) and shelter. Traore
was pro se, but
effective.
Judge Carter
asked, Have there been
settlement discussions? Would
you be open to them? No and
yes, Traore replied.
Judge Carter referred
the case to Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave.
It is Traore v.
Lewis-Robinson et al.,
19-cv-6284 (Carter / Cave)
