SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 10 – Tanisia N. Baker sued
Urban Books and the Vickie
Stinger Agency for exploiting
her works Sheisty and Still
Sheisty.
On December 10, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiff, as T.N. Baker, also
wrote Dice and Cream. At
first, they arbitrated where
an "out of print and out of
business clause" was raised.
The arbitration fell
apart.
In this
case, discovery has been
extended for 45 days to
January 22, 2021.
The case is Baker
v. Weber et al, 19-cv-1093
(Cronan)
