SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 12 – KPMG was sued for
gender discrimination in 2011.
On August 12, 2020 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lorna G. Schofield held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Back in 2014
Judge Schofield has
conditionally certified an
Equal Pay Act collective of
over 1,000 opt-in plaintiffs.
But based on ten Verified Fact
Sheets, KPMG moved to dismiss
in 2019.
Plaintiffs asked
to amend the Verified Fact
Sheets.
On August 12,
after taken a break, Judge
Schofield returned and denied
the request, directing the
parties to write in jointly by
August 26 regarding next
steps.
The case is
Kassman v. KPMG LLP,
11-cv-3743 (Schofield)
