SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 9 – Mandela T. Brock
sued Amazon for not waiving a
policy that workers cannot
wear headphones, to
accommodate his disability. He
also sued Jeff Bezos.
On
March 9, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Magistrate Judge Ona
T. Wang held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Amazon's counsel
said offering a blanket
accommodation was
unacceptable, and that smaller
fixes had not been asked for
by Brock. They say he wanted
the headphones to listen to
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
The case is
Mandela T. Brock v. Amazon
Prime et al., 20-cv-9055
(Caproni / Wang)
