SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 18 – Cheryl Hager-Reilly
as a special education teacher
for SCO Family of Services'
Christopher School in The
Bronx said she could not also
do cardiopulmonary
resuscitation or CPR, due to
asthma.
She was
fired, and
sued.
On February 1, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltlt held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Koeltl, who had just heard a
contentious case in which
defamation was alleged, gently
inquired into the status of
this dispute including at the
EEOC stage.
Jump cut to
November 18, 2022, when the
assigned Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave held a discovery
conference. Judge Cave chide
the plaintiff for not
providing information about
her subsequent jobs and
income, and for financial
information having been
over-redacted. There was a
mention of the possibility of
sanctions, or of the lawsuit
not going forward.
The case is
Hager-Reilly v. SCO Family of
Services, 21-cv-11023 (Koeltl
/ Cave)
