SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 7 – Carol Lopez was in her
apartment at 2527 Valentine
Avenue in the Bronx on
February 3, 2019 when she
heard her son was being
beating to the police just
outside her doors.
She opened the
door and shouted, That's my
son! She was beaten by the
police, then
sued.
On December 7, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Liman gave until February 4
for the defendants to file any
motion to dismiss; he said a
post-discovery conference to
July 28.
The case is
Lopez v. City of New York et
al., 20-cv-2502 (Liman)
