SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 28 – The U.S.
State Department has been sued
for documents about "hitherto
unknown U.S. operations in
Syria between June 1, 2014 and
December 31,
2016."
On September 28 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Crotty held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The FOIA
request is being negotiated;
its topic was described as
sensitive. It seeks emails
sent from jprince [at]
demcouncil.org and State
Department employee Ava Leone
about Raqqa.
Things are pushed
back to October 5 and Judge
Crotty said, So I don't have
to do anything in this case
until then. Maybe I don't have
to do anything in this case,
if the parties reach an
agreement.
The case is First
Look Institute, Inc. et al v.
U.S. Department of State,
21-cv-6197 (Crotty)
