SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 13 –
The
Administration for Child
Services of NYC has been sued
for removing two
developmentally disabled
children from their parents in
Brooklyn.
On July 13, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
parents' complaint says that
their daughter, at age 14, had
the intellectual ability and
emotional maturity of a
2-year-old child. Seeing that,
or its effects, PS 77K and ACS
staff moved for
removal.
Amid this
tragedy, the talk on July 13
was of discovery and privilege
logs.
Among the issues
in discovery are the City's
tablet computers for children
who cannot speak.
The case is
Stollman et al v. Williams et
al, 20-cv-8937 (Cronan / Fox)
