SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 2 – Defendant Miguel
Angel Ramirez Laurens, charged
with a $240,000 bank fraud,
did not appear for a
conference on June 2 before
U.S. District for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods.
Inner City Press
covered the proceeding, during
which Judge Woods set a new
conference for July 13.
Retained
defense lawyer Rene A.
Sotorrio, based in Coral
Gables, Florida, told Judge
Woods he was constrained by
attorney client privilege but
would say more if ordered to.
Judge Woods did
not so order.
The case is US v.
Molina, 20-cr-217
(Woods).
