SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 11 – Cristian Valdez was
arrested and accused of a
November 13 Hobbs Act Robbery
or attempted robbery of a
narcotics dealer in The Bronx.
On December 11 he was
presented in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court.
There, his court
appointed lawyer Joshua Dratel
argued that Valdez only went
to the location because he was
told that the person who
previously shot him would be
there. Valdez was described as
in charge of maintaining three
buildings in Westchester
County.
Magistrate
Judge Sarah L. Cave inquired
when home detention there
would allow him to continue
his employment in the three
buildings.
She said she wanted Pre Trial
Services to make a visit, and
set a bond hearing for
December 16 in her Courtroom,
subsequently moved up to
December 13 when she will
still be presiding in the
Magistrates Courtroom.. The
case is US v. Valdez,
19-mj-11435 (Cave).
