SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 22 –
Victor Frias-Garcia is charged
with bank fraud conspiracy and
aggravated identity
theft.
On
March 22, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John G. Koeltl
held a bail hearing. Inner
City Press covered it.
Judge Koeltl inquired into the
ICE detainer against
Frias-Garcia and was told that
it was on hold pending this
case and therefore would not
be enforced if the defendant
were freed.
Judge
Koeltl found risk of flight
which no conditions could
address. He denied release.
The case is US v.
Burgos-Hernandez et al.,
22-cr-133 (Koeltl)
