SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 1 –
In
2019, James Venderwerff was
the named plaintiff in a
purported class action against
Quincy Bioscience Holding
Company, Inc. and others for
alleged fraud in connection
with Pravagen, a dietary
supplement that is claimed to
improve memory.
Now amid
Coronavirus, the case is on
the slow track. U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding on May 1, which
Inner City Press covered.
Both
sides spoke of a mediation
elsewhere; ultimately the SDNY
case was put off until Friday,
November 13. Sometimes the
SDNY just gets used.
The case is Spath
v. Quincy Bioscience Holding
Company, Inc., et al.,
19-cv-7582
(Abrams).
