SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 22 – Marc Restellini was
compiling a comprehensive work
about the Italian artist
Amedeo Modigliani.
The Wildenstein
Plattner Institute offered to
help - then years later
transferred work without
consent. Restellini
sued.
On March
22, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Gabriel
W. Gorenstein held a discovery
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
A third
party subpoena recipient, The
Modigliani Project, wants a
protective order.
Its Dr. Kenneth
Wade has submitted an
affidavit that the Wildenstein
materials "were not of
interest or scholarly value to
me."
The case is
Restellini v. The Wildenstein
Plattner Institute, Inc.,
20-cv-4388 (Torres /
Gorenstein)
