SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 5 – In the case of US
versus Ivanjoel Aryeetey,
there was a guilty plea
scheduled for May 5 at 10:30
am before U.S. District Court
for the Southern District for
New York Judge Alison J.
Nathan.
Inner City
Press acted to cover it, but
then the Assistant US Attorney
Jessica K. Feinstein said that
a new factual issue has arisen
only the night before, and
that the plea would probably
be postponed. Or
canceled?
Ultimately,
after CJA attorney Natali J.H.
Todd conferred with her client
in another "room," that is
what happened. It was put off
for three weeks, and Ms. Todd
was wisely given time to
confer with her client. The
case is US v. Aryeetey,
15-cr-95 (Nathan).
