SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 21 – Lindale
Armwood is incarcerated in
Essex County Correctional
Facility on drug charges -
sleeping on the floor, due to
overcrowding triggered by the
closure of the GEO private
prison for cooperators in
Queens, New York.
On
April 21, 2021, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Judge Loretta A. Preska held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Armwood's lawyer
brought up the overcrowding,
the sleeping on the floor on a
mattress. It was detention on
consent on April 14. For how
long?
The case is US v.
Armwood, 06-cr-122 (Preska)
