SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 4 – Four years ago on
June 7, 2016 on 140th Street
and Bruckner Boulevard in The
Bronx, a truck owned by United
Natural Foods and a car driven
by Jonah Apau crashed. The
latter sued in New York State
court; the defendant removed
it to Federal court.
On June 4
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The lawyer for
United Natural Foods accused
Plaintiff Apau of having
"stopped short," with a
district echo of Seinfeld.
There was
talk about disclosing 2018
medical records. In the public
docket, this: Plaintiff
demands $300,000... A demand
of $65,000 has been
communicated to both defense
counsel and the handling
claims representative for the
defendant, in an effort to
settle the matter... No offer
has been made.")
The case is Apau
v. Douglass, et al.,
20-cv-1743 (Woods).
