SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 1 – Luis Medina was
charged by information for
heroin and money laundering in
May 2020.
On October 30 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Denise L. Cote held a change
of plea proceeding on the
CourtCall platform. Inner City
Press covered it, as it does
as many CourtCall sessions as
it can.
The US
Attorney's Office said they'd
like the transcript sealed.
They continued in this request
even after they were told it
was a public, notice
proceeding.
To seal a
physically courtroom requires
OK from Main Justice. Is
CourtCall different? We aim to
have more on this.
This case
is US v. Medina, 20-cr-274
(Cote)
