SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 12 – Inessa Muchnick
was arrested at 6 am on
November 14 and in the
afternoon was presented in
Magistrates Court in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York.
She had, in the gallery along
with Inner City Press, a
number of
supporters.
Muchnick is
charged with defrauding health
insurance companies by
charging them for expensive
"durable medical equipment"
but giving out only
lower-priced items.
She began by
buying Daily Medical Supply in
2014; she ran her money
through Bank of America. The
charging document refers
darkly to an Individual-1, on
which we will have more. The
case is US v. Muchnick,
19-mj-10713 (Parker).
