SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 29 – In Yonkers on June
21, 2019, Lance Clarke robbed
two livery cab drivers at
gunpoint, taking a total of
$460.
On October 29
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Judith C.
McCarthy held a guilty plea
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
To
make it a Federal case, that
the two livery cab companies
targeted also serve New Jersey
and Connecticut was
emphasized.
The CourtCall
platform crashed; then
Clarke's connection which had
been scheduled for one hour
was cut off.
The US Attorney's
Office had offered Clarke a
plea agreement, of 120 to 150
months and the repaying of the
400-some dollars he stole.
Clarke took the
plea, getting warned by his
lawyer not to plead to more
than was agreed to.
The sentencing
will be before District Judge
Kenneth M. Karas.
The case is
US v. Clarke, 19-cr-530 (Karas
/ McCarthy)
