Former Judge Indicted for Taking Bribes to Prosecute Dies amid Arrest Suicide Reported

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 24 – Amid expectation of NYC corruption indictments from and at the Southern District of New York, on September 24 suburban corruption came to the fore, and how.

Stewart Rosenwasser, a former county judge and senior-level prosecutor in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, was indicted and charged with accepting $63, 000 in bribes from Mout'z Soudani to investigate and prosecute his sister and nephew in a $1.9 million theft and embezzlement case.

When the FBI showed up at this door, there was reportedly an exchange of gunfire, and suicide by Rosenwasser. It's a developing story, but the (43 page) indictment is on Patreon here.

The case is US v. Rosenwasser, et al., 7:24-cr-555
