SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 11 – Rafael Cordero, a
blind person, sued Dark Horse
Comics, LLC under the ADA for
having an inaccessible
website.
On July 8,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Gregory H. Woods
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Woods
allowed the plaintiff to amend
his complaint by July 29. In
the Eastern District, the
Newsday precedent is that
websites are not public
accommodations for purpose of
the ADA. But the issue is
still live.
The case is
Cordero v. Dark Horse Comics,
LLC, 22-cv-4283 (Woods)
