SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 12 – Certain Underwriters
at Lloyd's, London sued ZJZ
Hospitality, Inc. concerning
an arbitration set for New
York, about events in Texas.
On July 12, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Woods had been asked by
Respondent to send the case
back to the Southern District
of Texas.
After running
through the factors of first
case filed, and citing a lack
of unique New York law in this
field that a Texas court or
the Fifth Circuit could not
interpret, Judge Woods ordered
the case transferred to the
SDTX.
It is Certain
Underwriters at Lloyd's,
London et al v. ZJZ
Hospitality, Inc., 22-cv-391
