SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 30 – Gary Griffin sued
Jacobi Medical Center and the
City of New York including
NYPD officers after he was
physically restrained while
trying to leave the emergency
room after a car accident.
On June
29, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Paul A. Crotty
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Defense
counsel said she is not even
sure there were NYPD officers
in the emergency room. Judge
Crotty gave the defendants
leave to file a motion to
dismiss.
The case is
Griffin v. Jacobi Medical
Center et al., 21-cv-8247
(Crotty)
