SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 27 – Crystal Lopez, a
medical case manager at the
Vernon C. Bain Correctional
Center, had her car stall-out
on the Cross Country Parkway
in Westchester County on
November 27, 2018.
When the police
arrived, rather than helping
they arrested her. She was
exonerated, and has now sued
on November 26, 2021, the day
after
Thanksgiving.
The complaint,
which Inner City Press found
that day in the docket of the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
says the police unlawfully
searched and seized Crystal's
vehicle.
She is
suing for $2 million.
The case is Lopez
v. Guziczek, et al.,
21-cv-10099 (Unassigned)
