SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 26 – Jose A. Brito
is charged with illegal
re-entry. But the Government
is taking time to produce
discovery.
On August 26 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul G. Gardephe held a
status conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
Assistant US
Attorney Nicholas Chiuchiolo
on August 26 said it is
because the material is in the
Federal Records Center, which
has been closed or
inaccessible during the
COVID-19 pandemic. That should
be getting easier, he said. A
new conference was set for
October 16.
The case is US v.
Brito, 20-cr-63
(Gardephe)
