SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 10 – Jayson Disla was
arrested earlier this year and
charged with being a felon in
possession of a firearm.
But there's more
to the story.
On August 10 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein
held a change of plea
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Hellerstein
asked the Assistant US
Attorney to explain what
evidence his Office has.
The response
included a person being hit by
Disla's bullet in Upper
Manhattan, and a cooperator in
the MCC ready to testify that
Disla confessed while
incarcerated.
Disla for
his part said people were
trying to kill him. The guilty
plea was accepted. The
sentencing is scheduled for
November 13.
The case is USA
v. Disla, 20-cr-222
