SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 14 – Jamil Banks,
previously convicted of a
felony, was arrested on April
10 in front of 2675 Valentine
Avenue with a bag of "dope"
and a "collapsible metal
baton, in violation of NY
Penal Law Section
265.01."
On July 14 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Sidney H. Stein held an
arraignment and initial
conference. Inner City Press

Banks, under the Criminal
Justice Act, had been assigned
defense lawyer John Maringolo,
previously covered as retained
counsel in racketeering
case(s).
Banks pled not
guilty. A next conference was
set for September 21.
