SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 25 – Ahmed Abdel Sattar, a
paralegal for Lynne Stewart,
was convicting of passing
messages from Sheikh Omar
Abdel-Rahman to Gamaa
al-Islamiya. Now the US wants
to modernize and expand the
conditions of release on him.
On May 25,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
conference.
Inner City
Press covered it.
Sattar's retained attorney
said he had only recently seen
the US' request. (The request
is also not in the docket, at
least not yet).
So he has
been given more time, to June
10. Another conference will be
held on June 28.
The case is
US v. Sattar, 02-cr-395
(Koeltl)
