SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 2 – Carl Fischer LCC sued
Hal Leonard LLC over the
copyright to the Christmas
carol "Carol of the Bells" by
Peter Wilhousky.
On June 1, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
conference. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Koeltl said because he'd been
told the case was settling, he
was preparing to issue a
so-called thirty day order.
The parties asked
for sixty days, and Judge
Koeltl said he would grant
that.
The case is Carl
Fischer, LLC v. Hal Leonard
LLC, 21-cv-9369 (Koeltl)
