SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 19 –
Roy Taylor sued NYPD Officer
Alyssa Trigeno and the City of
New York, after he was pulled
over in his 2006 Chrysler on
December 26, 2015 and
ultimately beaten, cuffed and
arrested.
On August
15, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Gregory H.
Woods held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
The
plaintiff says while he
complained to NYC Public
Advocate Letitia James and the
NYC Comptroller, nothing was
done. So he sued.
Judge Woods
ruled that the City's motion
to dismiss is due by September
15, with the plaintiff's
opposition six weeks after
that.
The case is
Taylor v. Trigeno et al.,
16-cv-1143 (Woods)
