SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 7 – Workers at White
House Black Market, Inc, a
boutique retail clothing
store, have sued the company
as manual laborers.
On July 7,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge John G. Koeltl held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defendant said they are not
manual laborers. Plaintiff's
counsel said it is an open
question. Judge Koeltl allowed
for an amended complaint by
July 15, with defendant's time
to answer or move set at
August 5.
If there is an
answer, then a Rule 26(f)
report is due two weeks later.
The case is King
v. White House Black Market,
Inc., 22-cv-3385
(Koeltl)
