SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 22 – JUUL sued Hyde
Park Snack Shop for selling
"grey market" JUUL products
that were designed for the
Ukraine market.
On
July 18, 2022 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Crotty held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
JUUL's
counsel said they want to
figure out the extends of
these grey sales. The
complaint emphasizes that
"consumers who purchased such
Unlawful Grey Market Goods
from Defendant who do not read
Russian or Ukrainian did not
receive any product
information or
warnings."
Judge Crotty
asked questions, and set
another conference for
September 14. He also referred
the case to Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave.
On August 22
Judge Cave held a conference
and Inner City Press asked
covered it. There was talk of
other cases, before other
judges. On this one, Judge
Cave set an October 7
settlement conference.
The case is Juul
Labs, Inc. v. Hyde Park Snack
Shop Inc., 22-cv-2881
(Crotty)
